02/Jun/08 Filed in: TPB
Several new sections will be introduced in the
upcoming edition of TPB Vol. II, No. 2, which will
be published this month.
The next edition of CPB's journal, "The Pragmatic
Buddhist" is in the works! Articles have been
submitted for Vol. II, No. 2, which is projected to
be available on our websites (pragmaticbuddhism.org
& thepragmaticbuddhist.com) this month.
Several new sections will be introduced in the upcoming edition, including a section devoted to those who are new to Buddhism, "Beginner's Mind." Owen Flanagan, PhD, is the Science Advisor for a "Buddhism & Science" section, which will focus on relevant research and recent scientific developments that help us better understand traditional elements of Buddhist practice, particularly meditation. Also, TPB editor Jim Eubanks (Shi Yong Xiang) will be reviewing a new book and/or movie each edition--an addition that began last issue with the film "Shaolin Legend." This season's edition will review the first-ever book devoted entirely to divorce from a Buddhist perspective.
Lastly, TPB Vol. II, No. 2 will introduce an advertiser's section, which contains specific businesses and interest groups that align well with Pragmatic Buddhism's goals and values. If you or an organization and/or business would like to advertise in TPB, please send an email to TPB editor Jim Eubanks: jim.eubanks@gmail.com. Prices are reasonable and go directly towards expenses of TPB and CPB.
